Research Interests
I am interested in mathematical physics. This means that I work on problems
that come from theoretical physics, but technically I am a mathematician
(a geometer) :).
Right now I am interested in topological quantum field theories (e.g
Chern-Simons), modular tensor categories (e.g. quantum groups),
categorical quantum mechanics, quantum foundations/information/computation,
strongly-correlated condensed matter physics
(e.g. fractional quantum Hall effect), and
topological quantum computing.
My advisor was Prof. Dan Freed in the Geometry Group at the University of Texas at Austin.
